Crabtree & Evelyn Rose & White Chocolate Biscuits
Romance, flowers, chocolates - these beautifully presented All Butter Rose & White Chocolate biscuits from Crabtree & Evelyn have it all... An ideal gift to show your love this Valentine's Day.
The tin they come in is just so pretty and wonderfully illustrated. The biscuits themselves are crunchy enough to dip in your tea if you so feel inclined. In fact I brought out the Royal Albert China specially to indulge in a special afternoon tea as I knew the occasion demanded it. I felt incredibly decadent whilst daintily sipping on my tea and biting into these moreish buttery biscuits.
I am a huge, huge fan of anything rose so these rose and white chocolate biscuits grabbed my attention instantly and they didn't disappoint. These traditionally baked English biscuits are made with crystallised rose petals and pieces of white chocolate. The result is a delicate rose taste from the the perfumed flowers and the white chocolate is smooth and creamy to tantalize the taste buds with this truly romantic foodie gift.
Delicious limited edition biscuits that are the perfect addition to afternoon tea. Massive thumbs up from me.

Pinks Boutique Try Me Set Rose Body
I do love a sample sized product and this little Try Me Set from luxury organic skincare brand Pinks Boutique is up there with the best of them and is quite simply an ideal way for trying before buying. There are seven sets to choose from, being the Rose fiend that I am I had to try the Rose Body version.
The set contains the following items which I found to be suitable for one use.
Rose Crystal Bath Soak - My favourite from within this little box of goodies. I popped the crystals into my bath and soon the bathroom smelt incredible and inviting. A lovely way to relax and kick off the pampering.
Contains Himalayan mineral crystal, Epsom salts and is infused with an organic blend of rose essential oils.
Rose Crystal Bath Soak 500g costs £39
Rosehip Face and Body Scrub - A gorgeous smelling, smooth and gentle yet effective scrub, I used it on my body for super soft skin.
Rose & Geranium Body Wash - This body wash comes out as a gel, is delicately scented and is gentle on the skin and soothing.
Rose & Geranium Body Wash 250ml £23
Rose Face & Body Balm - The balm is almost solid in form but warmed up in your hands turns into a delightful oil that would be so good as a massage oil, as it was I had to massage into my own skin and it was just beautiful. Smelt wonderful and left skin feeling super soft for hours. I used it on my body as part of my pampering experience.
Rose Face & Body Balm 50g £30
Final thoughts - I loved this little set and it provided a fantastic introduction to the Pinks Boutique products. I absolutely loved the Face & Body Balm and Bath Soak.

Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Body Wash
Readers of BeautySwot know that I am a lover of all things rose. I know a lot of people say 'oh I don't like rose' but I think that could be because they just imagine those horrid rose scents of cheap soaps that don't really resemble a true rose.. I call them old lady rose..and I agree it is horrid. So when I find a fabulous rose scented product, I have to shout about it.
I have been using the Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Body Wash for a while now, I wanted to take a picture and write the review earlier but I noticed that the packaging has changed, it looks even more luxurious now so I have included a stock photo so you know what you will get.
Aromatherapy Associates say
Experience the hydrating and uplifting powers of rose, geranium and camomile to leave your skin gently cleansed and beautifully fragranced.
Key Benefits:
Contains essential oils renowned for their nourishing effects
Softens and hydrates the skin
Suitable for use during pregnancy

Camomile
Sandalwood
My thoughts
The Renewing Rose Body Wash is simply exquisite, bath times are more indulgent and luxurious with this beautiful and delicate scent of rose that has been blended with Sandalwood and Camomile. I was a little worried about using essential oils and suffering irritation but this body wash is gentle and leaves skin wonderfully soft and hydrated and the bathroom smelling gorgeous.
With no SLS or parabens this is a real bathtime gem.

Melvita Rose Shower Cream
Melvita say
This Rose Shower Cream offers a smooth lather and a delicious natural fragrance without drying the skin, preserving the balance of even the most delicate skins.
Combining an extra-gentle, soap-free washing base with a subtle cocktail of Rose seed milk, Musk Rose oil and floral water, it makes your skin feel softer and more comfortable.
My thoughts
This shower cream feels soft and silky as it glides across the skin. It has a wonderful light rose fragrance (I am a huge fan of rose scents) that is nothing like the old fashioned heavy Rose scent that a lot of people find overbearing, using this whilst shaving my legs I found it to be non irritating. Gentle, comforting and skin smoothing. Provides a pleasurable bathing experience. Skin is left feeling wonderfully soft. A lovely natural skincare product.
Melvita Rose Shower Cream 200ml costs £10 but I have noticed it on their website for a rather bargainous £5 right now!

Lush A Million Kisses Lip Tint - Lips Of The Day
A perfect lip colour for a Friday night. Lush's A Million Kisses Lip Tint is a gorgeously deep pink shade. It does look redder in the tin but on my lips comes out as a dark pink. This mini pot contains a powerful punch of deeply pigmented matte lip colour that stains the lips and comes with the most wonderful scent of Rose. I love it.
However..if applied with fingers you will need to apply with precision and wash your hands after to avoid getting it everywhere!

L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream - Desert Rose
L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream in limited edition Desert Rose is complete and utter gorgeousness in both packaging and scent.
This attractive and eye-catching packaging design has been inspired by a traditional fabric from West Africa called bogolan cloth, the cloth is decorated with patterns specific to each village, indicating where it was made. You won't have any problem finding this cream in your handbag.
The Desert Rose from Morroco -The scent is truly sublime, a beautiful blend of rose and lemon. This is a delight to the senses, it is so fresh with a hint of rose, I love it.
I do hope L'Occitane make Desert Rose part of their standard collection.
At £7.50 for a 30ml tube this is a great price and the perfect size to pop in the handbag.
The limited edition collection also features two other scents - Cocoa Flower and Hibiscus in equally colourful packaging. Also available in all three scents are Shea Butter Lip Balms (£8 for 15mls) and Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream (£16 for 100ml)
If you are a fan of the original L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream (£17.50 for 150mls) you will be pleased to know that it has been given a makeover with its own limited edition collector's design reflecting the African theme.

Boots Traditional Skincare - Glycerin and Rosewater Toner
Do you remember right back at the start of my blog I suggested Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser as a great budget beauty buy, and how I first discovered this gem on the basis of the recommendations of the older generation that had amazing, soft, youthful skin? Well hot on its heels is this other non fashionable golden oldie staple from their dressing tables. Boots Traditional Skincare - Glycerin and Rosewater.
I discovered this about 10 years ago and really love the product - of course it always helps when people comment positively on your skin. I must admit I do hanker to possess anything with rose in it, it must be the Middle Eastern influence in my background. I do adore absolutely anything and everything containing roses in any form, I even had Dolce Vita roses at my wedding. Dolce Vita translates to Sweet Life which I think is really apt.
I love having bouquets of roses around the house, drawings & pictures of roses, anything with its scent - Perfumes, hand creams, face and body products and especially I love the taste. I take pure rosewater, use it as a toner and also add a splash of it to ice cream and use it in cooking various Middle Eastern dishes, both sweet and savoury.
The use of rose in various forms has long been used in traditional skincare and beauty originating from Persia. It is well known for its cleansing, toning and moisturising properties. It is soothing and balancing, perfect for all skin types, but especially good for sensitive skin as it is so gentle. With regular use it can help prevent your skin ageing - wonderful and potent indeed. The skincare industry has recognised this, and within the last few years more and more products now contain rose or rose oil, with various companies even doing their own version of the Boots product but at a much higher price.
Available from Boots stores priced at £2.77
