Black Nail Polish With Gold Glitter - Bling Bling! - NOTD

Today's Nails Of The Day are a favourite combo of mine.. black nail polish with gold glitter. I am using Models Own Gun Grey as the base which is not quite black but dark enough (I want to try a similar look with a really glossy rich black too!) and for the gold glitter I have used the ArtStix Duo in Cloud Drops - Dew Drops, a mix of hexagons, dots and fine glitter.

Models Own Speckled Eggs Collection - Dove

Today's Nails Of The Day come courtesy of the new Models Own Speckled Eggs Collection. Pictured is Dove a pastel pink. Inspired by ornate egg shells, they also remind me of one of Easter favourites - Cadbury Mini Eggs.

I love the speckled effect, it looks even more amazing in the Sun. The formula is quite sheer so you will need at least two coats to achieve opacity for maximum effect and to bring out the pinkness.

Models Own Artstix Nail Polish Duo in Ember Red - Nails Of The Day

Models Own Artstix are my favourite glitter art polishes. One end is the nail colour to paint your nails and the other end the glitter to cover it, design wise (to paraphase Louis Walsh from the X Factor) you can make it your own!

Today I am wearing Ember Red - made up of Hot Red nail polish and Ember Glow glitter. The polish is gorgeous on its own, a wonderfully rich and dark blood red. The glitter is made up of red dots, golden and bronze hexagons that twinkle in the sunlight. This particular combination looks like Autumn in a bottle, the glitter pieces like fallen leaves. Very pretty indeed.

The polish formula is fantastic, it applies so smoothly and the brush wide enough (on my nails) to fill the whole nail in one sweep. I like the brush handle as it is nice and narrow so easy to hold for my little hands. Perfect and having a duo product at £6 a real bargain.

Glitter & Bows - Nail Art Nails Of The Day

These Nail Art Nail Tattoos dropped through the letterbox on Saturday and I couldn't wait to give them a go.. My hands and nails are quite small so I mostly avoid nail art as it would be far too fiddly so these sticker tattoos for nails are ideal (although I still can only really use them on my thumb nails).

Using the Models Own Artstix Duo in Cloud Drops I painted my base colour in the gorgeous cream shade Cloud 9. I waited for the polish to dry completely before peeling the super cute bows from the backing and simply sticking them onto my thumb nails. You will need to apply a top coat so they don't lift off but it really is as simple as..

I completed my nail art by painting the tips of my fingers with the glitter side of the Artstix Duo - Dew Drops the effect is so pretty as the light catches the gold glitter strips but I had trouble capturing its sparkling beauty with my camera. I think it would also look fab with a strip of fine glitter but this was my Glitter & Bows Nail Art
