Today's Nails Of The Day come from Paul & Joe Beaute - this is Indigo Blues (15) from the Colour Lasting Base shades. Housed in a gorgeous vintage-inspired bottle this is a deep blue shade that is perfect all year round. I like teaming it with denim.

The polish is formulated with organic plant oils to treat nails and keep them healthy and the formula is quick drying and long lasting. I used two coats for the nicest finish.

Paul & Joe Beaute is not a make up brand that I have tried until now, I think one of the reasons is it hasn't been in the shops that I regularly go to and although a few bits have caught my eye over the years I have been reluctant to buy online before trying. However I recently spent an evening playing with the new Summer Collection and I saw for myself why people are seduced with this brand.

Adorable packaging and gorgeous colours for Summer inspired by holiday destinations and 60's beach film nostalgia that just scream sun, sea and sand. Lots of fun to be had, at the same time the products are practical and multitasking.

Did you know a person touches their eyes on average 200 times a day?

Nude nail fans are in for a treat with Revlon's New ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamels. The Mannequin Hands Collection contains eight flawless nude shades for every skin tone. The gel-like formula  promises chip free nails for up to 11 days.

The Return of Revlon's Fire and Ice!

Revlon's Fire and Ice Lipstick and Nail Enamel were launched in 1952 and became one of the most iconic beauty launches and ad campaigns ever. It featured the rather strikingly beautiful Dorian Leigh and a full page quiz that asked if you were made for Fire and Ice.

Roll forward to December 2010 and Fire and Ice is back!  This time featuring Jessica Biel, the ad is shot by Mario Testino

Red really is the most glamorous of colours and I chose to wear this on Christmas Day as readers of my blog will know....

It is not a colour I have embraced until recently when I felt I had finally found a red lipstick that suited me and so I was excited to try this red and I have to say it didn't disappoint but it is very bright !!

Fire and Ice Lipstick

This is a beautifully creamy full pigmented lipstick that is so smooth to apply and well I fell it love with it!

I have mentioned before that I always steered clear of red polishes as my hands and nails are tiny ...but have this year tried red and well it looks cute.

I love this version from Revlon (one of my favourite nail enamel brands) Such good quality, this is a simply gorgeous red. I only applied one coat for the picture below. I feel naughty lol!

Revlon Autumn/Winter Collection 2010

Named the Suede Rhapsody Collection, this offering by Gucci Westman (Revlon's Global Artistic Director) is inspired by women in fashion in the 1920's Art Deco period and is available to purchase now.

There are 3 lipsticks in the collection - in order of swatch

Mink in Creme Super Lustrous Lipstick  - A nice rich chocolatey shade which I personally think suits redheads and brunettes with gorgeous rich toned hair and dark eyes.

Smoked Peach in Matte Super Lustrous Lipstick - A pretty muted peachy colour for an understated look.

Stormy Pink in Matte Super Lustrous Lipstick - A vibrant striking shade to stand out from the crowd

I found all the lipsticks to be quite heavy on the lips and a bit drying, I have only just restarted wearing lipsticks after a summer of glosses though....But all are gorgeous shades worthy of attention.

Now these looked absolutely gorgeous in the bottles, all sparkly and vibrant in tone and I must admit I was a little disappointed that they had to turn matte. Two coats gave excellent coverage and they were easy to apply. Although the flash has given them a sparkly appearance, they are definitely matte.  If you are fans of matte (huge as a trend this A/W) then I do think these rich shades will appeal. My favourite is the Emerald City.

Shade Silver Fox - ColourStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow

A muted purple shade (my favourite for a smoky eye)
A shimmery white
A gorgeous delicate green
A silver, which comes out bluey on my arm for some reason but was a nice grey shade on my eyes

These shadows are long lasting and I will definitely be using them as they are so pretty.
